Q: Should I cut my hair before the treatment?
A: You can trim or shape around face or length. Layered hair freshly cut might lie too blunt after treatment .Hair clips should not be used right after treatment. You can go through haircut and trim off any uneven ends if needed.

Q: Can I wash my hair after the treatment, and when?
A: Wait 24 hours after the Traditional Keratin treatment, and wait 48 hours after the Mild Keratin treatment before washing

Q: What kind of shampoo or conditioner should I use?
A: We recommend ELUCENCE shampoo because it does not contain Sodium Chloride, or Sulfates it also has Keratin and UV protection. All shampoo and conditioner should not contain Sodium Chloride.

Q: What should I do if my hair gets wet during the first 1- 2 days?
A: Blow dry the hair as quickly as possible.

Q: Can I go into a pool or the ocean after the treatment?
A: Wait 1 week. Always wet hair and apply conditioner before swimming, and rinse well afterward.

Q: Can I wear my hair in a pony tail or wear a tie in my hair?
A: Not anything tight or restricting. Loose scarf or silk headbands are ok.

Q: Can I use hair spray, gel, mousse, or any other products on my hair during the 1- 2 day period?
A: Argan Oil or Moroccan Oil may be lightly used if needed. After you shampoo you can use styling products.

Q: Can I color my hair before I do the treatment?
A: Yes. We recommend you color the hair first. If done same day -no conditioner-after shampooing color out.

Q: Can I color my hair after the treatment?
A: Wait 2 weeks after Keratin treatment to apply any color. For hair with treatment in- use ammonia-free color.

Q: Can I apply bleach to my hair after the Keratin treatment?
A: No, do not apply bleach to Keratin treated hair. Bleach may be applied on re-growth only. All highlights are to be completed before Keratin treatment is applied.

Q: Can you do the treatment on top of relaxed hair?
A: Yes. You can do the treatment over any previously relaxed hair.

Q: Can you do the treatment on highlighted hair?
A: Yes. You can do the highlights first, and then do the treatment on unconditioned hair. On fine, hi-lift bleached hair lower heat when flat ironing.

Q: Can you do the treatment over previously chemically treated hair?
A: Yes. You can do the treatment over any chemically treated hair.

Q: Can you do the treatment over Japanese or Thermal straightening?
A: Yes. You can do the treatment over any kind of straightening.

Q: Is this treatment a relaxer?
A: No. It is a reconditioning treatment made of keratin, plant extracts and collagen that are sealed in to and on to the hair.

Q: Can you do the treatment on virgin hair?
A: Yes, but it won't last as long as previously colored or chemically treated hair.

Q: Can you do the treatment on children? If yes, what ages?
A: Yes. We recommend it for children age 12 and older.

Q: How long will the treatment stay in my hair?
A: Depending on curl type and strength of treatment. Curl or wave starts to come back sooner on virgin hair, and gradually all other processed hair. Keratin Treatment will condition, eliminate frizz . Also hair will smooth out quickly when flat ironed or blown dry , even after curl or wave has come back.

Q: Do I have to do touch-ups on the next visit, or re-do the whole head?
A: The whole head.

DO'S AND DON'TS AFTER TREATMENT

Do's during the first 2 days after treatment:

1. Wear your hair down all the time.
2. Use a blow dryer or flat iron if needed.For example,if the hair gets wet or if a piece is not straight after sleeping all night.
3. Wear a silk scraf to pull your hair away from your face.
4. Use a shampoo without sodium chloride(use always after Bkt)
5. Use sulfate free shampoo and conditioner

Do not do during the first 2 days after treatment.

1. Don't wash the hair for 2 days.
2. Don't tie the hair up in a pony tail.
3. Don't use hair clips.
4. Don't use bobby pins.
5. Don't use hair bands.
6. Don't engage in any activity that causes sweating such as exercise etc.
7. Don't place the hair behind your ears.
8. Don't uses glasses to hold your hair back.
