How will my stylist know what style is best for me?

We are trained on our ability to not only do great hair and makeup but also to help a bride, bridesmaid or mom determine the best style for her. The stylist does this by using a well developed system which takes into consideration many different factors including face shape, hair length and type, style of wedding, client's personal style, clients likes and dislikes among others. Our stylists truly work with you educating you on your options but ultimately letting you make all the decisions.

What if I never wear makeup?

As you can see by the pictures in our portfolio, we are known for doing very light natural makeup. We want to find that perfect happy medium between looking good for your pictures and looking and feeling beautiful for your family and friends. That is going to mean something different for everyone. Our job is to find that perfect look for you.

Don't I have to wear a lot of makeup for photos?

This is actually a very common misconception. Yes, if you are doing studio photos under bright studio lighting, then that is the case. But, for natural lighting (which most wedding photography is) and/or flash photography, a lot of makeup is not needed. Your stylist will work with you to find the perfect amount of makeup that makes you feel beautiful, not "made up".

Will the hair and makeup stay all day?

This is a big part of our job and something that a stylist who does not specialize in weddings may not know. We are going to use the right products and techniques so that your hair and makeup will stay all day AND still look natural. Everything we use is waterproof or water resistant and we will also educate you on the best choices based on your wedding time of day and location.

How long will it take on the wedding day?

No matter how large your wedding party, we are going to bring enough stylists so that everyone gets done within a reasonable time and without compromising quality. Our stylists can do amazing hair, very quickly.

Will the stylist do more than one style at the preview?

We are going to consult with you to determine which style is going to be the best based on all of the factors. We really do try and narrow it down to one particular style. This is part of the stylist's job. That being said, your stylists job is to make sure that you are happy and that you feel confident before she leaves the preview appointment. If this means doing more than one style, than that is what she will do.

Can I get hair only or makeup only?

Bridesmaids can choose to have hair only or makeup only but we do require that the bride book us for both hair and makeup. The reason we require this is that in our many years servicing brides, we have come to realize that logistically when a bride hires two separate people to do hair and makeup, it really creates chaos with the timing of the wedding. Our goal is to have everything run smoothly for the bride and to get her done on time.

Will you apply false eyelashes?

Yes, we love false eyelashes and we put them on anyone who is getting makeup done and wants them. If someone is not getting a makeup service with us but still wants false eyelashes, we will do them if we have time for a fee of $10.00. We encourage to have individual false lashes, we feel as though they are much more natural looking than strip lashes. If you would prefer strip lashes, we would be happy to apply them.

Do you work with hair extensions?

Yes, we can work with any kind of hair extensions as long as they are human hair. There is no additional charge to work with hair extensions. The better quality the hair extensions the easier they are to work with and the better they will look.

Will you come out just for bridesmaids?

Yes, there is a 5-service minimum. We require a non-refundable deposit to secure the wedding date since no preview is being done. Please call or email for specific pricing. The deposit is applied towards your wedding day total.

Will my hair and makeup last for my entire ceremony and reception?

We only use the highest quality products on both your hair and makeup to ensure that is will hold its style for your big day! We will advise you on the best hairstyle for your particular hair type, to ensure that your hair will look its best for your entire wedding day. All of our makeup is highly waterproof to avoid any mess when sweating or crying. Cherry's Salon prides itself on providing hair and makeup styling that has extraordinary staying power, while still looking soft and natural!

What kind of makeup do you use?

We use primarily Cherry's Cosmetics our favorite because of it natural and for flawless coverage and it is also all waterproof, so you don't have to be afraid of sweating or crying. but We also have other brand like Mac, Smash box and other make up by request.

Do you use false eyelashes?

Yes! We use false individual lashes because they are both comfortable and natural looking. Your stylist will happy to use longer or shorter lashes, depending on how dramatic you want the finished look to be.

Can you work with extensions?

Absolutely! All of our stylists are experienced in styling both clip in extensions or sewn in extensions. Your stylist can help you decide if extensions would help your wedding day hairstyle.

Are you a mobile hair and makeup company?

Yes, Cherry's Salon is a mobile hair and makeup company. We can travel to you on your wedding day.

Will you bring another stylist if I have to many services?

We are always happy to supply an additional stylist to help with a large bridal party. We are able to accommodate any amount of hair and makeup services.

How long does a hair or makeup service take?

Each bridal party hair or makeup service takes 30 minutes. We take more time on the bride, so the bride's hair and makeup services take 45 minutes each. The bridal party is styled first and the bride always is done last, so her hair and makeup is the freshest!

Is airbrush makeup a good choice for a beach bride?

Airbrush makeup is a great choice for a beach bride! Beach weddings come with a unique set of challenges; wind, humidity, sun and sand. With these kinds of conditions, it is imperative that the makeup application be highly waterproof and sweat-proof. Airbrush makeup is the perfect solution!

What is Airbrush Makeup?

Airbrushing is a patented makeup application technique that utilizes compressed air through an "airbrush" that sprays on a fine mist of makeup. Most clients find the application technique rather soothing and since traditional brushes are not used during this technique you never have to worry about sanitation.

How does it feel?

Airbrush makeup is exceptionally lightweight. Most clients say they feel as if they aren't even wearing makeup.

What are the benefits of airbrush makeup?

Airbrush makeup provides flawless coverage by minimizing skin imperfections while giving skin a beautifully natural finished looking result. It flawlessly covers red spots, brown spots, any spot, wrinkle or blemish, even dark circles under your eyes! You'll look bright, awake and alive.

How long does airbrush makeup last?

Airbrush makeup is highly water resistant and will last for up to twelve hours or more.

What happens if I cry or sweat while wearing airbrush makeup?

Whether you cry or sweat, airbrush makeup will stay in place. By simply taking a tissue and blotting the wet area the wetness will be lifted and the makeup will stay in place. In the heat of the summer, airbrush makeup will stay looking the same as it did when it was applied.

Is Airbrush Makeup right for everyone?

Airbrush makeup is suitable for women of all ages and every skin condition. The makeup is hypoallergenic and fragrance free. In fact, airbrush makeup is the only makeup that is suitable for the new "High Definition" standard in television.
